Director and Dancer Biographies
| Carley Conder is an Arizona native. She received a B.F.A. in Ballet and an M.F.A. in Modern Dance from the University of Utah . Carley has been a performing member with Arizona companies Semaphor Danceworks, Scorpius Dance Theater, Garner-Gutierrez Dance, Mary Fitzgerald Dance, and Los Angeles based company Keith Johnson/Dancers. She has enjoyed working with such choreographers as Steven Koester, Stephanie Nugent, Charlotte Boye-Christensen, and Ashleigh Leite. Her choreographic work has been commissioned by many academic institutions and companies including University of California - Santa Barbara , Arizona State University, Brigham Young University , University of Utah , University of Texas – Pan American, Snow College , and Ballet Yuma. She is the Grand Prize Winner of the 2000 Palm Desert Choreography Competition, 2006 Professional Winner of the Arizona Choreography Competition, and a 2006 Project Tier Awardee through Regional Dance America . In 2011, Carley was invited to teach at Dance New Amsterdam in NYC as part of the Modern Guest Artist Series. Carley is currently a Faculty Associate at Arizona State University, Adjunct Faculty at Scottsdale Community College and has served as Visiting Faculty at Brigham Young University . Her work has been supported by the Arizona Commission on the Arts, Target Arts Grants, City of Tempe and Maricopa Center for Learning and Instruction. She and her husband Mike are the proud parents of three children. She is the Founder and Artistic Director of CONDER/dance. |

Jordan Daniels began his dance training in musical theater at the Arizona Conservatory for Arts and Academics. He is currently employed by Mesa Broadway Palm Theater and has performed professionally in such musicals as “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat”, “Seussical the Musical” and “Cinderella”. His dance studies have included workshops at the San Francisco Conservatory of Dance with Alex Ketley and Summer Lee Rhatigan. He is in pursuit of his degree in Dance at Scottsdale Community College where he was a member of Instinct Dancecorps. He has had the privilege of working with choreographers Ashleigh Leite, Christopher Dolder, Carley Conder, and Janet Charleston. Jordan's interests dwell in choreography and the establishment of JordanDanielsDance. |

Alisa Gillespie was born in Arizona and received her B.A. in modern dance from Brigham Young University. While there she received the Outstanding Female Performer award and had the opportunity to perform and teach internationally with the Dancers’ Company in Thailand, Taiwan, Cambodia, Jamaica, Puerto Rico, and the Dominican Republic. Alisa completed her MFA in Dance Teaching and Choreography from the University of California, Irvine. While there she had the opportunity to work with Donald McKayle, Loretta Livingston, and Jodie Gates. Also at UCI, Alisa received the Medici Scholarship giving her the opportunity to teach a dance and creativity workshop in Guatemala. Now, as a certified Laban/Bartenieff Movement Analyst, Alisa enjoys teaching and assisting others in realizing their potential as fully functional and expressive individuals. Alisa currently teaches dance at Glendale Community College as Adjunct Faculty. Alisa lives in Glendale, Arizona with her husband Cornelius. |
Anna McClellan is originally from Minneapolis, Minnesota and began her dance training in Arizona. As a former performer with Instinct Dancecorps, she has had the privilege of working with such choreographers as Chad Michael Hall, Ashleigh Leite (Stephen Petronio Company), Christopher Dolder (Martha Graham Dance Company), and Janet Charleston (Merce Cunningham). Anna is invested in her own creative work as she creates and produces dance films, original musical compositions and choreographic work. Anna is pursuing duel degrees in Dance and Dance Technology at Scottsdale Community College. She is currently working as the Rehearsal Assistant for Instinct Dancecorps. Anna is now honored to be a full time member of CONDER/dance. |

Kassidy Rogers received her BFA in Dance Choreography from Arizona State University in 2005. She has performed choreography by Tere O’Connor, Mark Haim, Peter Pucci, Debra Hay, Jo Kreiter, and Mary Fitzgerald. She is currently teaching dance at multiple high schools around the Phoenix area and is thrilled to be joining CONDER/dance for her first season. |
Brittany Young began her training in East Brunswick, New Jersey. In 2010, she received a BFA in Dance from the University of Arizona. While at U of A, Brittany performed with the UA Ensemble. She has had the privilege of attending the American Dance Festival, The Martha Graham Intensive, Point Park Summer Intensive, and classes at Dance New Amsterdam and Broadway Dance Center. Brittany’s performance credits include: MarioCoDahlHaus Dance, Bulareyaung Pagarlava and Art.if.Act Dance Project – with whom she recently returned from a tour throughout China. Brittany is a Certified Fletcher Pilates Teacher, finishing in the top of in her class. She is excited about returning for her second season with CONDER/dance and is looking forward to investing in the Phoenix-based dance community.
